You're Not The Same

Hallelujah! It’s finally Friday. It feels like forever since that happened. And with all of the stress of last week, finally, awkwardly, coming to a close, I need the weekend more than anything.

I had a dream last night that I cleaned my room. (What a boring subconscious I have.) It was really nice, and I was happy. But then I woke up and realized it was only a dream, and so I am still quite sad. But tomorrow is Clean Up Day 2007! Hooray!

So last night, in an effort to extend our circle of friends, we invited one the coworkers of my Chapters squad to hang out with us. Sure he is young, and he hadn’t ever seen The Office before, but I think I enjoyed having him with us. And I think he enjoyed spending some time with his favourite coworkers, and of course meeting me.

But I think my favourite part of the night came as we dropped him off, back home. When our new found friend remarked, “You guys are sure different than the other group of people I hang out with.” We agreed that we were a little crazy sometimes. But he went on, “No, it’s not that. You all are just…so…goody-goody.”

I guess I had never really thought about it, but to the outside world we might seem a little much. But in our own Mormon world, it just seems normal. I still am laughing just thinking about us as “goody-goody”.

Alright, well, that’s about it for today. Make sure to read yesterday’s post. Sorry I published it so late.

So excited:

To see Keely again tonight!

Still questioning:

How I made the lasagne so good.

Finally realizing:

Things looked so much better with the rose coloured glasses.

Thanks to God for more than good luck.
