Yesterdays Hits

Tonight, while looking for some fun, I decided to hit up a local thrift store. I love looking at all of the rejected items. Combing through piles of clothes to find that one still perfect sweater, having a good laugh over hideously ugly knicknacks, gazing at all of the books, records and tapes of long forgotten super stars. But the best has got to be looking at all of the rejected electronics.

There you are sure to find old Atari systems, well worn typewriters, rotary phones and early digital alarm clocks. Tonight I even found an electric tie rack. Out of the whole store, it seems like the electronics department is like taking a trip back in time. How cool would I be if I had all of this stuff in the 1980s.

I know it is only a matter of time before my laptop, cellphone and ipod make its way to this technological museum. Funny to think how fast life moves.

So if you are feeling slightly nostalgic, or wish you could return to a simpler time, try hitting up your local thrift store. Even though I don't have a land line, consider buying me rotary phone if you stumble upon an awesome one.
