Unpacking Boxes, Slowly

Yes. September has long since begun, and you haven't heard a word from me. In my defence a few things have been going on since we last spoke.

1. I know you all know, but I did move. I live in a basement, which is a lot different from the second storey apartment that I use to live in. (I miss the birds.) In the move I upgraded from my trusty twin bed, all the way to a queen size bed.

After the years I have spent confined to my smaller bed, I haven't quite spread out like I probably should, but I have enjoyed the extra room and one half of the bed is littered with books and magazines, similar in many ways to opening scene of Dan In Real Life.

(If you still haven't seen Dan In Real Life, how are we even friends. Please, go right now and buy it. I promise you won't be disappointed and can probably score a pretty cheap copy for yourself. I went to check the first part of the movie, and ended up watching the whole movie, wondering why I didn't travel to Rhode Island or meet people in bookstores. It really is that good.)

2. I joined the Laptop Club. After years of wish and waiting the computer gods finally smiled on me. I am now able to compute on the go, no longer confined to my desktop, like life in the 1990s.Yes, I've got my desk set up for when I get serious and want to do some major computing, but most of the time I enjoy the freedom of checking all of my social media and watching movies from the comfort of my bed.

At this rate I'll never get the TV set up. It's still sitting on the floor by the couch.

3.Seeing all the sites of the Treasure State. I spent the Labour Day long weekend with my family in the thriving metropolis of Great Falls, Montana. I know you are jealous. The weather wasn't that great, and in reality there isn't that much to do, but we still had a good time.

Another summer has come and gone. Fingers all crossed that the end of the year is somewhat exciting.

(In other blog news, please don't forget to check out my brother's new blog, as well as updates from Jenny in Toronto!)

Love you all. Thanks for your continual reading.

As Always,
