Well, my car flipped to 2,000km when I was driving home from church today. Mind you I didn't drive about 300km of that total, but it still made to sad to think my new car is growing up so fast. Where have I been? It made me wonder where I will be when it turns 5,000km, 10,000km, and the even more frightening 100,000km. I tried to picture my 100,000km future, but it was much too blurry. Maybe I should undertake in some goal setting.
Well kids, the weekend, once again went by much to quickly. I celebrated several quiet birthday celebrations with all of my favourite people...well except you, but hopefully we remedy that soon. It is hard to imagine that I am 23 (hmmm...plus a few years). Some of my co-workers signed a cheesy card for me, but I did enjoy one of the inscriptions. "May this go around the sun be your best yet." Let's keep our fingers crossed.
So today I thought I would share with you one of my new favourite items. Vitamin Water. I have no idea when or why I originally started drinking it, but our recycling is littered with several empty bottle varieties of this semi-flavoured water. It is the bottled equivalent of watered down Kool-Aid with a Flinstones' Vitamin thrown in (Sorry Twitter followers, I know I used that joke before.) Somewhere between the neon coloured liquid and the clever descriptions on the front, I became a fan. I am sure that it is entirely some form of the placebo effect, but drinking Vitamin Water does make me feel good. Plus it can't hurt to be well hydrated.
Besides it is probably better than drinking my other strangely flavoured favourite beverage, Mountain Dew. With more than 46g of sugar in each tiny bottle, its only redeeming quality is that it is caffeine free. I do blame my Junior High for introducing me to this unpopular drink. Our pop machine at school seemed to be constantly sold out of everything except Mountain Dew. In Grade Nine after a slew of parental concern, the school changed all of our pop machines to juice machines, but it was too late, my love of Mountain Dew had begun to blossom.
So if you have some extra money kicking around (Vitamin Water is an outrageous $2.25!) and looking for a mildly flavoured beverage, give Vitamin Water a try. Let me me know what you think! Doesn't it feel better to know you are getting 100% of your daily vitamin requirements? (Now if only one of them had iron in it.)
Good luck to all of you with the your up coming week. I'll keep my fingers crossed for all kinds of awesomeness to come your way.
As Always, (And this time I mean it...)
