Dedicated To My Profession

I came to work with straight hair today, not by choice, of course, but rather accidentally. My habit of listening to the foolish radio banter, while still lying in bed has gotten me in trouble more time than I would like to admit. So, today I woke up as the morning DJs were discussing current events with the local weather lady, which just happened to be ten minutes before I was suppose to leave for work, so voila, straight hair.

When I decided what to wear today, I picked out a pair of brown pants that I don’t wear all that often, and cute dark brown shoes to complete the outfit, but now in the florescent lights of our office, my pants look grey, and the brown shoes more than a mistake. But despite my insufficiencies, I still look pretty good.

I wasn’t intending to write anything today, giving not only you all, but myself a break from my own witty discussion of current events. But I thought I couldn’t just leave you with yesterday’s sadness. As a side note, no, I wasn’t able to find my scriptures, although I did have a dream that I went out to my car and the thief had miraculously returned them, but that wasn’t reality this morning.

So here is the game for today : Denise’s Top Ten Songs! (Okay, so not really a game.)

These are the ten most played songs on my ipod. The number at the end is how many times it has been played. Check out similar lists here and here.

1. Human Hands—Sondre Lerche—220
2. Broken Heart—Motion City Soundtrack—186
3. Fading Into Obscurity—Sloan—119
4. Lonely Day—Phantom Planet—117
5. Work—Jimmy Eat World—106
6. Back To You—John Mayer—97
7. Come and Get It—The Beatles—87
8. These Are The Days—Peter Katz—71
9. No Place At All—Sarah Slean—65
10. Hell No—Sondre Lerche & Regina Spektor—65

Check these songs out on YouTube, I am sure you will be able to find them. I am just happy to see The Beatles crack the Top Ten, even if it is only at number seven.

Hopefully something better tomorrow.

Thankful for everything I do have.

As Always,
