Don’t You Know Who I Was?

Let’s not even talk about yesterday. I am just happy at this point to be on the downhill side of this already short week. My computer decided to not work yesterday, and I spent the morning like a nomad going from computer to computer trying to get something accomplished.

The overtly geeky computer repair guy was called in, who from the very first day I started working here, has tried, albeit unsuccessfully and awkwardly, to flirt with me. And like all the other times he has been in the office, invited me out for drinks last night. Rocky, who just happened to be standing there when this guy asked, spent the rest of the day teasing me, and has still not forgotten the uncomfortable invitation this morning.

I spent most of yesterday afternoon realizing that that project I had been working on for the past two days was completely wrong, and emphatically telling RDP all of my reasons for not going out with our technologically minded friend.

Work today hasn’t been much better considering that I started this post at 9:30, but have had a hard time getting it finished all day. I guess it is good to be busy; the days this week really are going by fast.

While work life has been fast paced and busy, real life has been calm. We haven’t done much with the past couple of days, watched a lot of weird TV, talked a few people off a ledge, and even got another invitation from Internet Boyfriend.

Two invitations, in one week, I must be on a roll. He invited me to a Saint Patrick’s Day party he was hosting. I politefully declined, stating I already had plans for the night. And, yes, watching How I Met Your Mother does count as plans. It wasn’t until later that I found out the “party” was really an FHE activity. Somehow, I don’t think he was that torn up that I didn’t attend.

Sorry, that is really all I have time for today.

Amazed with how fast the week is going.

Excited for the long, long weekend.

Happy to have reconciled with the Internet Boyfriend. (Hopefully he has done some research into The Beatles.)

Hoping to make a comeback.

As Always,
