A happy Monday to you all. I am sad that the weekend is over, but we have only five quasi-short days until a long weekend. They should hopefully go by quickly with all of the funny plans we have made for this week.
But most importantly, a Happy Birthday to our dear Eric. It also wouldn’t be February 11th without saying a happy birthday to the Brooks McDonalds as well. Congratulations on 19 years of business.
Let me just say, to all of those who missed out viewing of Mel, you really missed something. For Christmas, Jenny’s grandma gave her family a bunch of lame “family” movies, that aren’t even good enough to show on TV, even late night. But we decided to watch Mel because it was about a giant “turtle-like” creature. Here is the synopsis from the back of the DVD:
"When Roger, a teenage boy, is sent to live with his grandfather for the summer, he discovers his grandfather is protecting a friendly, turtle-like creature named Mel. When Roger’s reckless behavior lands his grandfather in jail, it’s up to him to save Mel from a greedy land developer."
It is full of stupid side stories, tight pants, workaholic parents, bad kissing, unnecessary tabbaco use, a tiger and Mel’s secret! Truly one of the best things I have seen all week!
Looking forward to our hodge podge of a week. Maybe, just maybe, things are starting to look up.
Congratulations to the YSA council for finally coming to their senses, sort of.
So excited to be back in contact with my favourite Saskatchewan resident!
I really am sorry for you. I can help you find a song, if you need it.
Contemplating the unthinkable! Way to put ideas into my head, Jenny!
Hoping to watch something just as magical next weekend.
Wondering what the itchy ears are about.
Lots of Love.
