Why Aren't There More Turkey Dedicated Holidays?

With Thankgiving over all that is left of this year are unpleasant experiences…Halloween, Preference and Christmas. Out of all of those, I can’t decide which I hate more. But who knows, the way this year has gone, maybe they will all be positive experiences. I will be optimistic and hopeful.

This was our first camp free long weekend, but it didn’t stop us from having a wonderful time. Friday started out with a girl’s trip to the mall, which really has turned into a weekly occurrence. What can I say, me and Flick love to shop, and the other don’t mind coming along for a good time.

After some time to get ready, we headed to the dance…I headed there about an hour later…better late than never. I can’t believe that I am going to admit this…but I had fun at the dance. Was it because all of my favourite men were there? Probably. Was it because all of my favourite ladies were there? Most defiantly. I don’t know, it really seemed like all the other dances I have been to…maybe I just had a better attitude.

Following the dance, all of my favourite people came over to watch our new favourite show. Arrested Development. I think Jenny has really made believers out of all of us. What are we going to do when they are all in New York?!? (Which is only a few days away! What am I going to do?!?)

Saturday had an odd start, with waking up at 8:30am, even after we had all stayed up so late the night before. I am seriously in love with sleeping in. It is really the only thing I look forward to all week. So, to be up so early on a Saturday was quite saddening to me. I tried to go back to sleep, but it was no use. So I headed over to my family’s house. Subsequently they were all shocked to have me at their house so early.

Saturday we had a birthday party for Ginger. Jenny and I had been stressing about it for the past month when we came up with the idea. It seemed like every time we would get everything settled on this birthday party, there would be some setback, and we would have to start all over. Nevertheless, everything went as intended, with all of our favourite people in attendance, and a couple of rounds of Around the World Ping Pong….a Malacko favourite. The night ended with a creepy movie (but then again, I only saw half of it) and some awkward, unnecessary physical contact. Yes! Again!

The weekend rounded out with more Arrested Development watching…”How grand, how terribly grand.” The weekend just turned into a wonderful blur, and one of the best Thanksgivings’ to date.

Here’s too more turkey sandwiches, wonderful friends, excellent laughs all with wonderful thanksgiving.

Love you more everyday! Thankful for you all the time!
