Fruit Baskets Are Always Welcome

A big, giant Happy Birthday to Canada. I hope that your Canada Day was one of the happiest. Welcome to the beginning of summer, hopefully it is full summeristic fun.

Considering the circumstances, this weekend was full of wonderful suprises.

Friday night started with a lot of last minute frantic packing. Of course I always leave it until the last minute! Did you expect anything more of me?

However in an effort for some long weekend craziness, we ended up at Joe's house watching a movie on the projector in the backyard, watching from the trampoline. We all cuddled together with our blankets and pillows, and I will tell you...that was the best sleep I have ever gotten. Seriously, I didn't watch more that 10 minutes of the movie. What was it about? What was it even called? I have no idea. But I will tell you that it was the best nap I have had it quite a while.
However, the stupid mosquitoes were horrible and we all ended up getting eaten alive. We really should have invested in some sort of bug spray, but we thought we could beat them....we were wrong. :(

Saturday started early with the big move. Really it wasn't that big. Just two trips...one for my bed an dresser, and the other for boxes. And then started the long process of unpacking...kinda and more importantly figuring out where to put up my Beatles posters.

The room looks great, and it will probably be the cleanest it will be for a while. I will take some pictures before it gets too messy...no, no...I will keep it clean...or at least try to.

After a family BBQ, and fun in Taber, I headed back to town to watch the exciting Canada Day fireworks with my new roommates!

Sunday was the crowning event of our weekend. After some "family obligations" or was it "prior commitments" we ended up at Richards' house for a co-ed campout in the backyard.

What a super fun time! Super cute boys, mis- firing fireworks, stories including unicorns, snoring and some explanation about "come kiss me" eyes. It just seems like every time we are together, craziness ensues.

Monday night wrapped up our odd long weekend with a water balloon fight and a hot dog roast down by the river. (But this time we remembered the bug spray!)

We all peacefully fell into our beds, and only I was angry this morning getting up early to go to work. Thank goodness next weekend is closer than we think!

Oh yah, and I forgot to mention that in the middle of all of this, my car died. But three cheers for my Uncle Dan for getting it revived once again. Really what would we have done without him all weekend.

Here's to good friends, wonderful new roommates, cute boys, and more fruit than my family can ever eat. Thanks for everything!

No, apparently, gay like a tree.
(I really wish I would have been there for that. They say it at my house all the time.)
