Looking Back Before Looking Forward

You will never believe it, but October marks my 5th Blog-iversary! For five years I have been writing more than nonsensical posts for all of you, strangely enjoying it more every passing year.

So as a treat for you, I thought I would participate in the 30 Day Blog Challenge. Essentially I have to write something new for all of you, all month. (Sorry. This month it is quantity over quality.)

There are more surprises planned for the rest of the month, so be prepared.

But, thank you to all of you...all of you...for reading my musings. When I started this blog on the computer we had set up in our laundry room five long years ago, I never thought I would still be going strong after all this time.

Today's Challenge Blog is to post a picture myself that was taken ten years ago. Luckily for me, and all of my saved email, I had a picture of a 19-year-old Denise.

Oh my. Don't I look young! This was taken for one of my college classes. (A class I really hated. Can you tell?)

Check out that old tyme computer monitor, and the huge binder I use to walk around with (Do they even have binders like that anymore?) And yup, that is my natural hair colour. (What! You're not a brunette?)

It is amazing to think about how much has changed since this picture was taken. How in ten short-ish years so much, and yet so little can happen. I'm too afraid to think about all that is to happen in the next ten years.
