Today one of my favourite blogs made a list of her favourite cartoons. It helped to remind me of all of those early Saturday mornings I spent in front of the TV watching all of my favourite animated series. See if you agree with any of my choices.
1. Inspector Gadget--My brother and I use to watch this every day after school. I always wanted a computer book like Penny's, and thought that it was super awesome that the van turned into a police car. Sure, I was terrified that I was finally going to see Dr. Claw's face, and I was disgusted with how stupid Gadget was, but it always a hilarious show to watch. Besides, it is the place that taught me about snow blindness.
2. Care Bears--I'm not going to lie, but I hated whenever Noheart was on the show. To me he was the scariest cartoon bad guy. Shrieky and Beastly seemed more comical than frightening. I still think that there is nothing that a Carebear Stare can't fix.
3. Tiny Tunes--I know so many people love the original Looney Tunes, but let me tell you that the better of the two really is the 1990s version.
4. Gummi Bears--The theme song still puts a smile on my face. Please don't tell me that you don't wish that Gummi Berry Juice wasn't something real.
5. Dr. Katz--This isn't a Saturday morning cartoon, but still super awesome. My brother and I use to watch this late at night after coming home from our fast food jobs when we were in high school. It is hilarious. I wish I could find somewhere to watch it today.

Ok, two things. First, yes, Dr. Katz was pretty awesome. i used to watch it when I had the ability to stay up late.
Secondly, if I didn't respect you like I do, I would probably punch you in the throat for saying that Tiny Tunes was superior to l'original Looney Tunes. I have seen both and let's be honest...the only good thing to come from Tiny Toons (I don't know how to spell!!) was the very topical parody song:
"We're tiny, we're toony
we can't afford a loonie
'cause Brian Mulroney
invented gst!!"
