I'm wearing blue nail polish. I'm announcing this just for your information as an interesting point of notice. I gave up my nail polish wearing shortly after I began working. It was just too hard to keep up with the constant chipped nails, and somehow in my very professional office, it just looked out of place and childish.
But the other day whilst walking through the store, I swear the nail polish aisle started calling out to me, questioning my love for them. To my surprise I found a whole array of beautiful spring colours to great me.I finally settled on 'Ocean View' a fantastic, mostly unprofessional, shade of blue. But you know what, after carefully transforming the tips of my fingers, I am totally loving it! I've got to say if you are looking for some spring in your personal life, why not try your own outrageously bright shade of nail polish.
So I graciously gave you your very own springtime quiz to answer, and now here are my answers. That is if you were holding your breath waiting for them.
1. I know it’s spring when….
when the baby geese and duck are wandering around.I really do like birds. I took this picture a few years ago. It makes me smile whenever I see it.
2. Everyone knows the best Popsicle flavour is…
orange all the way. Besides what flavour is the red one suppose to be anyways?
3. If I were designing a kite I would make it…
I had a friend growing up who was an only child. Her mom was always coming up with fun things for us to make, including suggesting making kites. My friend never wanted to do any of the projects her mom suggested and would want to play school or ‘party’ which turned out to be us decorating the pool table. I was so sad that I never got to make a kite.
If I had to design my own one, I think I would make that floating ship from Mario. Remember! With the canyons and bullets! Although I don’t know that it would very aerodynamic, so how about just making a classic diamond shaped kite.
4. My favourite part about spring is…
that spring is always a welcome change. I don’t know of anyone, short of allergy sufferer, that dislikes spring. The trees once again turn green, school is over for another year, you can put away your winter coat, and due to an overly extended hockey playoffs, hockey every night—8!
5. If it has to rain it better…
it had better pour. With tons of lightening and thunder. I live on the second floor of an apartment building, why should I care if it flooded.
6. The best barbequed food is…
definitely steak. Hamburgers might come a close second, but without a doubt the smell of barbequed steak can always get my mouth watering.
7. Yard work is…
not fun. Neither is gardening. The idea of digging around in the dirt is not my idea of a good time.
8. The best way to eat ice cream is…
either in a cone or via ice cream sandwich. Both methods are super portable and there is little clean up.
9. It wouldn’t be spring without…
me thinking I should buy an umbrella. Every spring they are put front and centre in every store. I wistfully look them over, and then realize that I live in a pretty rain free area of the country and that there is no need for one. After the first rainy day, I wish I had bought one. But knowing me, I would probably forget it at home if I needed it.
10. This summer is going to be…
full of magic and wonder! No, probably not. In reality, and due to the fact that I won’t have any holidays until February, I will be spending the summer working every day. Hooray!
So kids, I hope you are having all kinds of end of April fun. May, and summer will be here before you know it. Thanks to all of you for your continued love and support. Looking forward to all kinds of shenanigans in the nearish future.
As Always, (And this time I mean it.)
