Skydiving, Confrontation And Other Things I Don’t Want To Try

Don’t worry. We heard from Eric today, and he seems to be doing well. He is already throwing around a lot of Spanish (which I can only guess will get more frequent) and like my older brother, already has distorted memories of saying goodbye at the MTC.

I am not sure how Jenny did it, but she waited a whole week to search out the second season of Veronica Mars so that we could watch it together. Luckily for us, one of our friends had the whole series on DVD, and so we wouldn’t have to spend hours downloading, or shell out $50.00 to figure out what happened next. Why didn’t we think of DVD sharing earlier? (If you have something good to temporarily trade to us, come swap us for How I Met Your Mother or Bones.)

We excitedly watched six episodes last night. (Doing stuff outside, or have friends is for fools!) We wished for the bad boy to be good again, we turned up our noses at the aloof boyfriend, gasped in shock as old characters and storylines reappeared. Sadly we are hooked. Any suggestions as to what we should take up after we finish yet another series?

Sadly I don’t even have a fantastic Story of the Day (and yes, Jenny, I sang that) to leave you all with. So I thought I would leave you with a gem that I sent into Odd Todd a few months ago. He posted a new bad neighbour story every Friday, and excitedly, I was featured with this nugget. Enjoy!

“Growing up I lived on a normal suburban street. We knew our neighbours well enough. We didn’t hang out all the time, but we were always friendly to each other and got invited to the occasional BBQ.

The only problem with these neighbours, it that they were copycats. Every time we mowed our lawn, they mowed their lawn. Every time we shoveled our sidewalk, they shoveled their sidewalk. Soon they started copying us even more. My parents built a deck; my neighbours built a deck. My parents had our kitchen renovated; our neighbours had their kitchen renovated. My parents bought new furniture, well, you guessed it, our neighbours bought new furniture.

But the real kicker was when my parents decided to sell our house. You will never believe it, but, yup, our neighbours sold their house too!”

Grateful for all that I have.
Take wooden nickels, only if there is nothing else left to take.

As Always,

I think I have a wooden nickel actually, My Mom would collect coins for us and I was the only one who wouldn't spend mine on Candy at our candy store in our small village.
Oh and Ugly Betty is a MUST SEE!
