Okay, just forgive me for a minute, but I just need to say this. Jenny and I sadly finished Veronica Mars last night, and if you happened to be wondering around our house at 8pm, I am sure you heard our gasps, followed by extremely loud booing. Of course, I don’t think everyone thought that would be the final season, as the last episode seemed to open up more cans of worms that it solved, but knowing that was it, Jenny and I were devastated with the unanswered questions and cliffhanger ending.
All of our friends tried to warn us before we got to the end, but insisted that we should watch the Season Four preview to see the glory that Veronica Mars was headed to. So, full of hope for some answers, Jenny and I put in the Season Four preview and held our breath waiting to hear some good news. All of the sudden, the storyline jumped five years into the future. When we left season three, Veronica was in college experiencing the ups and downs of post high school life, all while continuing her Nancy Drew like tendencies. And now, here she was Veronica Mars, FBI. Excuse me!
Had the show continued to season seven, Jenny and I would have gone along with the FBI storyline, but to jump that much time in just one short summer, made us glad to formulate our own ending, and grateful to avoid the new season.
Jenny and I might actually love the supporting characters as much, if not more, than Veronica. So where was the bad boy turned cute boyfriend, Logan, in this new season? Where was her quirky, lovable Dad? Even Sax, the funny, mustached, sheriff’s department deputy?
Just know that we are disappointed, but thankful to Veronica Mars for giving us three solid weeks of entertainment. We have decided to take a break from our DVD watching. I guess it is time we actually attempt a social life again.
If you wonder what kind of luck I have these days, here is a story for you. Last night after working an extra hour of overtime, I headed home. While stopped at a red light, my car was rear-ended. No longer surprised with anything associated with my car, I pulled over to assess that damage.
As I got out of the car, I noticed the offending car drive off too quick to even half memorize a license plate number. With shock, I found the back end of my car perfectly fine. No dents, scrapes, or even paint transfer, pretty amazing considering how hard the car ran into me. So a big thank you to the angels for again watching out for me. I know this isn’t the first time I have been saved in my car.
Good luck to Elder Forsyth in the MTC, I really hope you are able to find Eric in your short time together. And safe travels to Eric as he apparently heads into a tropical storm on Thursday.
Thankful for all I have but don’t deserve. Looking forward to everything yet to come.
