I really am not feeling well, and in fact, am just waiting for the office to send me home. But the problem is that I look too good. I used my inability to sleep this morning to get ready for the day, giving me extra time to camouflage the dark circles under my eyes, and combating the additional heat created by my hair by pulling it up into a professional creation.
Everyone is sympathetic to my condition, and my fevered flush has not gone unnoticed, but there is just too much to do this week to go home early.
So with swollen glands, an insanely sore throat and alternating between too hot and too cold in the feverish state I am currently in, I am just counting the hours until I can go home, and subsequently back to bed.
