Definitely Hardly Working

Oh my good heavens! Hooray for Friday. I went to bed “early” (still plenty late for some of you) last night and was so tired this morning and I laid in bed this morning thinking about what the consequences would be if I just didn’t show up to work this morning. But my sensible side quickly took over and here I am with just a little less than 6 hours left in the day. I am getting though the day with loud music and enjoying all of the chocolate stashed around my office. (Yes, you can call me Claudia Kishi)

There are no lawyers in the office today; they all decided to take another long weekend. When I found this out yesterday afternoon, I jokingly said, “So that means the office is closed tomorrow?” But having no one understand my jokes or sense of humour around this place, the other assistants looked at me horrified that I would even suggest such a thing and said, “Oh no Denise, it is business as usual.” Realizing they didn’t know I was joking, I said, “Oh well, it was worth a try.” And seriously, one of the assistants looked at me and with a straight face said, “Denise, we can’t just close the office willy-nilly, our clients depend on us to be open appropriate hours.” I just smiled and went back to my office, realizing that I really shouldn’t talk at work.

I got my hair cut last night by the ever talkative Keely. Luckily for me she stops cutting when she starts talking, my aunt use to cut and talk at the same time, and would always leave you with a lot less hair than you came in with. But because Keely is always starting and stopping, it takes a lot longer than it normally should. But I don’t really mind because I LOVE getting my hair cut.

Last year around this time I made a list of all of the things that I am a sucker for, and while most of the things on that list still make me a little weak in the knees or my heart happy, I thought I would update it for 2008.

I absolutely love:

--Car washes
--Spinach artichoke dip
--Ironing
--The Gap
--Weekday Eve
--Haircuts
--Blogging
--Jimmy Eat World
--Hot dogs
--Trivial Pursuit
--Taste tests of any variety
--Random road trips
--Documentaries
--Wool pants
--Tchoikies
--The Fantastic Four
--Swimming
--Feature Films For Families
--James Taylor
--TV Series on DVD
--Steve Carell
--Chocolate Milk
--The Beatles

Thanks for everything. I absolutely love all of you as well. Let’s do something this weekend if that is at all possible.

Lots of Love.
