Moving On, But Not Moving Out

Sorry to all of you. I am getting so bad at this blogging thing. It seems hard to get back into a normal schedule again after Christmas and the like. I am still convinced that we need to have some sort of holiday in the middle of January to ease ourselves back into a regular routine. I think I might just take full advantage of my dual citizenship and celebrate Martin Luther King Jr. Day, of course, sans work.

I have spent the week alternating between sleeping too little and sleeping too much. I am hoping to get my sleeping regulated one day soon, mostly due to the fact that I don’t have many days off for the next little while and work comes a lot earlier than I wish most days.

Everyone, and I mean everyone at the office has some sort of sickness. We have all alternated between taking days off and going home early. But thankfully we only have to get through tomorrow until it is the weekend again, and hopefully everyone will feel better, and be less cranky next week.

Alright, well on with the foolishness.

It is no doubt time to say this, but I burned a lot of bridges in 2007. Yes, some of these bridges really didn’t go anywhere and/or if they did go somewhere, it was definitely not where I wanted to be. But I burned them, nonetheless. However, in the joyous and contemplative times I have had in 2008, thus far, I have realized there is no need to do away with something just because it didn’t turn out the way I expected or even wished.

So here I am, extending the olive branch of quasi friendship. Is there really any reason for me to be mad at this point? Out of us or the hatchet, let’s burry the hatchet this time.

Now I understand, things won’t be the same, nor do I think they should. Sorry, I have moved on. But that doesn’t mean that we can’t be friendly to each other. You can call me, and I can call you. You can ask me for help, and I will do my best to help you. Heck, this might just turn out to be the most normal part of our whole time together.

Moving on. Sorry to the 90% of you that have nothing to do with the above.

A big thank you to How I Met Your Mother for all of the fun times this week. With TV still beyond normal, we picked up the Second Season DVD of How I Met Your Mother, and I have spent most of the week in tears from all of the funniness that show has to offer. Seriously, if you haven’t checked it out, give it a try. It really is that great.

Here’s to:

My new 2008 calendar for my office. Wow! It really is amazing, and much better than the lame, scruffy birds from last year. Tyler Jones, thanks, you have really classed up my office.

One more of day of work in this odd and backwards week.

Hot and Cold. Proof that this is a universal problem.

A good idea? Or at the very least a funny road trip?

Me. Doing not bad with what I’ve got.

Thanks to God. Lots of Love.
