Cheerful and Satisfied

A happy 2008 to everyone! Thank goodness we finally made it this far. And so far it is turning out to be just fine. Much better than the horrible start we had to 2007. But that is in the past, and there is nothing to do except look forward.

The New Year has been quiet to say the least. Jenny and I caught another showing of one of our favourite 2007 movie releases, ‘Dan In Real Life’. We enjoyed it even more the second time around and we did most of the laughing in the theatre.

I am feeling really good and relaxed as the new year begins. I don’t know if it was because I am not at work for the next couple of days, or if I have spent too much time laughing with Flick and Jenny, or the fact that we went to see ‘Dan In Real Life’, again tonight, making three viewings, and maybe more, (It really is a good movie. Oh, and not a chic-flick.) or because I did less than nothing today. But I am very grateful for the relaxing times I have had over the past couple of days.

The first part of our SASAA last night was beyond hilarious, where we vowed no more strangled chickens and had a great laugh over the dad’s mustache in ‘The Notebook’. I am definitely looking forward to our destructive second part on the weekend.

A special thanks to the universe for bringing the new song of 2008 to me.
(Probably better than last year choice of Newport Living.)

I’m not saying that I’m giving up
I’m just trying not to think as much as I used to
Cause "never" is a lonely little messed up word
Maybe I’ll get it right some day

For the first time in a long time
I can say that I want to try

I feel helpless for the most part
But I’m learning to open my eyes

And the sad truth of the matter isI’ll never get over it
But I’m gonna try to get better
And overcome each moment

In my own way

I so want to get back on track
And I’ll do whatever it takes
Even if it kills me

Here’s to 2008. The best we have, so far.

Good Luck. Please God Speed.
