Now What?

Welcome to the new blog readers. I hope you enjoy your time here. (Aren’t you a little jealous that I didn’t welcome you when you first found my blog?)

I think Ashley is right. Tomorrow is May 1st and officially, unofficially the beginning of summer…well in the YSA world at least. Everyone is done school and starting their exciting/funny summer jobs. (I am jealous. Remember how everyday is the same for us working class.) And that also means that Spring Fever is supposedly over as well. Too bad. I thought that this year it might have gotten me a little further.

But I am grateful for the summer and everyone’s relativity carefree attitude. A whole summer of excitement awaits…even if it is just more chicken salad sandwiches, long walks, backyard tenting, and maybe, just maybe a summer fling. Needless to say, I am excited. Last summer was super fun, and knowing us, we can make this year bigger and better.

The weekend was something. I am not sure if that is good or bad, but at least there are quasi stories to tell.

Friday, after my own personal crisis (I guess...ask Ashley) I ended up at the dance, super early. I am easy. What else can I say? Everyone seemed to have a wonderful time dancing. I had a great time watching all the girls flirt with all the boys that were home for the summer. Girls really are shameless.

Following the dance, we played an intriguing game Cranium. (Three cheers for our team for winning.) But next time, we really should listen to me. I usually have the correct answer.

Saturday, after fun with my family, and running into everyone we knew at the mall, Flick and I enjoyed some hilarious Japanese Anime. (I hope you all know we just watch if for a laugh.) We watched Princess Tutu, where everyone turned into animals, and some people looked futuristic, and others really old school. What time period was it set in, no one really knows.

We rounded out Saturday night with the end of the exotic fruit, the dragon fruit. Try one, and let me know the first thoughts that come to your mind.

Sunday, always seems to be my favourite day these past couple of weeks. I have a new love for our ward, and we always seems to get a good mix of people coming over Sunday night. Who doesn’t love a good Weekday Eve?

Funny walks, funnier games and even a trip to the hospital (don’t worry, we are all okay) made my Sunday even happier.

Okay, well here’s to:

Trying to convince me that vampires make great entertainment. I know it was late, and I was half-asleep, but I am still not convinced.

More people knowing about this than I really know about this. Is something happening, or am I just grasping at straws?

Victoria Park. Pulling it out when I think it has nothing left to give. Way to go guys!

Amy. Hope you’re still okay. We will take a urine sample later tonight.

You. “It’s getting better all the time. It can’t get no worse.”
