New Army/Same Air Force

A happy afternoon to everyone! I have spent most of the day photocopying and stapling, and un-stapling and re-photocopying. It is an exciting life that I lead. And you wonder why I never have witty and/or interesting stories from work.

Just a question. What is the purpose of a blog? How much information is too much information? How much should you really share?

‘In online diaries, people write their day-to-day experiences, social commentary, complaints, poems, prose, illicit thoughts and any content that might be found in a traditional paper diary or journal.’—Wikipedia (hasn’t lied to me yet)….maybe that is what my blog is missing, poetry and illicit thoughts.

After reading some random blogs today (Don’t worry, it wasn’t your blog.), I have realized that maybe we share too much. That everything we feel, think and know, is out there, on “the internets” just waiting for someone to read what really think of people, how much you love him/her, and some of the twisted stuff from your past.

Even if you think you are being secretive, sometimes your codes are not hard to break. The Codebreaker game on The Price is Right is harder to break than your super secretive code about D. Garner, or Denise G.

Just a thought. I know, I am more the pot on this issue than I would like to admit.

Alright, on with the blog. I would like to file this entry under Social Commentary and Complaints

Do you know what the most annoying sound in the world is?

If you type that question into Google, you get a wide variety of answers. Everything from that horrible sound on Dumb and Dumber to those annoying Hamster Dance websites/e-mails.

But truly the most annoying sound in the world, is the sound of someone scrapping out the last of their yogurt or pudding cup.

Everyday at 2:00 pm my coworker, whose office is next to mine, eats her yogurt. And everyday at 2:03 pm comes the scrape, scrape, scrape noise that goes with the last of her snack.

Possible Solutions To My Annoyance:

Ask her to stop the scraping noise.

Potential Problem: 30-45 seconds of annoying noise is better than a week worth of smelling old yogurt in the bottom of her garbage.

Ask her to bring another snack.

Potential Problem: She really could bring a more obnoxious snack. Think about it. Listening to Pop Rocks all afternoon is much worse.

Steal her yogurt from the fridge in the morning before she has a chance to eat it.

Potential Problem: Knowing my life, I for sure would get caught. And I really don’t want to go to jail. (You know I would prosecuted working at a law office.)

Leave my office at 2:00 pm to make sure that I don’t have to listen to the noise.

Potential Problem: I don’t have good luck, in fact it is worse than your run of the mill bad luck. I know that if I left to avoid the problem, she would just start eating when I returned.

Are there really any solutions to this problem? Probably not. Maybe I should start to focus on the other annoyances about my office:

The receptionist who refuses to answer the phone before the sixth ring.

The pigeon who has taken up residence on the roof…right above my office and proceeds to walk around and “call” his friends all day.

The coworker who says “Groovy” every time you ask her a question.

But I don’t think there are answers to these annoyances either.

Okay, here it is, after the longest blog about nothing, daily cheers.

Here’s to:

The weekend—jr highesque dances, funny laughs (as always), great food, and time with my family. At least it went out on positive note.

The darkroom--for being mentioned as promised. What’s more fun that toxic chemicals and a red light? (That came out a little worse than I was hoping for)

The summer being just around the corner—it is about time. I am still waiting for my ship to come in though.

The time with you—it has been too long. (Good luck with that code, it might be harder than you think.)

Not sure where to post this but I wanted to ask if anyone has heard of National Clicks?

Can someone help me find it?

Overheard some co-workers talking about it all week but didn't have time to ask so I thought I would post it here to see if someone could help me out.

Seems to be getting alot of buzz right now.

Thanks
