Wounded Puppies Need Not Apply

There seems to recently be an epidemic of people with broken hearts. Don't worry, I understand, and I want you to be happy again. So I am sending you the steps it takes to stop being so emo, and start being normal again. Good Luck. Don't worry. Someday there will be happiness in Nottingham.

1. Declare a Mental Health Day.

Ahh..the Mental Health Day, one of the best days out there. However you need to use this day very carefully, you only get one. Go to the Mall, clean your room (or bathroom), lay in bed all day, watch a movie or two, listen to your stereo really, really loud. Use this day to do whatever you need to make you temporarily happy. If you are too nervous to take a day off work or school, dedicate the weekend to improving your mental health.

2. Have A Girl's Night

In our house, girls night is one of the most important steps of the emo-ness. Girls night gives you a chance to be with other people. We usually watch a movie (The Wedding Date or Bridget Jones Diary), go for dinner (Thank goodness for BP), and scarf down cheesecake (The more chocolate the better). All in all the Girl's Night gives you a chance to tell your story, and have someone to sympathize with. If you are boy, call up any girls you know, and tell them you need a girls night, I am sure they would be willing to host. Hopefully they don't put face masks on you or something like that.

3. Find a Song

I believe that the theme song is the most important step. For the most part the song will find you....I know, that sounds incredibly creepy, but it is true. And you will know it when you find it. This is a song that you need to just be able to listen to it 1000 times. One day, you will be listening to your song on repeat, and everything will just be okay. It will be an amazing miracle. And after that, every time you hear your emo song, you will just laugh and think, how could I ever be that sad. Trust me, you will get there.

Happiness is a choice. It is something that you need to work for everyday. Especially when you are thinking that you might never be happy again. You need to consciously say, "I will be happy. Come what may." If you make this week the best week, and this day the best day, and this hour the best hour, you will be okay. Take little steps and you will get there. (Wow! I sound like Tony Robbins.)

As Flick's analogy goes, if you went to the pound to pick out a puppy, would you pick out the puppy crying in the corner with the broken leg, or would you pick the puppy that was fun and wanted to play? Emo people are only fun for so long. Sympathy will run out. People will tell you to stop crying. Maybe you need to stop before people have to tell you to stop.

Don't worry, I love you, and that is all that matters.

I would just like to say that the mental health day is nothing to be nervous about. Employers give you sick days, there is nothing wrong with being sick. No one can be mad about that.

ps - when do I get a link to my website?

Flick,

You know it is easier said than done. And you also know that sometime puppies just show up at your house...or at the church when you least expect it.

But I do understand that sometimes you have to be mean to puppies.

As I said before, 'Sympathy will runout. People will tell you to stop crying'

I think that is the point we are at. I am tired. :(
